Fate/Stay Night series Review!

So I thought it was time to take a small break from the future diary reviews and give you readers another anime to check out! Now many have probably heard of the fate series, but not all have had the chance to enjoy it, so I am giving those who have not seen or heard of it the chance to give it a look!
Summary: Fate/Stay Night is a Japanese visual novel developed by Type-Moon, which was originaly released as an adult game for windows. A manga series adaptation by Datto Nishiwaki was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Shōnen Ace magazine between the February 2006 and December 2012 issues.  A 24-episode anime series created by Studio Deen aired in Japan between January 6 and June 16, 2006. The storyline follows mainly the Fate scenario but shows parts of other scenarios as well. This series main character is Shiro Emiya a hardworking teenager who was orphaned 10 years before the start of the story, and his fellow companions from Homurahara Gakuen school in fuyuki city. Together with 7 others who all come from a family lineage of magi they must all fight for the holy grail to grant their desires.
Review: This is one series that combines history with magic, and a small dose of true love and will appeal to almost any otaku that's into action anime. The story line combined with the intense personality of the shows characters bring this animation together into something to be admired. Fate/stay night really had me thirsting for more after the first episode, and it definitely didn't stop there for the plot continually thickens and relationships are always being revealed. I always like to talk about the positive points to an anime before I get to the stuff that just doesn't suit my taste as a hardcore otaku, so what I really liked above all else for this anime was the overall character design and personality of each and every character in the anime the animation in my opinion was great with only small room for improvement while the characters had great appearances especially the servants armor. The story line of a war to grant the victor their greatest desires along with the mix of  magical historical figures serving under a master really had me gripping my seat to see who they would pull from history to represent some of the greatest heroes of all time. Now although I have yet to see the other project Fate anime series I am sure that they are just as amazing as this one was. I really would recommend this anime to any otaku out there that is ionto a good action anime and to those of you who like a little romance and drama in between a good fight! I really cant say anything bad for this anime, and cant say to much more except to go and watch all 24 episodes for yourself.
My Rating: 5 out of 5

Day in the Life

This Day in the Life will be kept short sorry! I just wonder if others have those days where you have only one thing on your mind...ANIME! Like you could be talking to a group of people, but not hear a word that was said because you were debating in your head which anime you were going to go and watch. Sometimes my whole day is just like living in my television or laptop watching my favorite anime (*cough* Gundam *cough. cough*) and then when someone asks me what I did that day I honestly can only tell them that I woke up ready to watch a good anime :) Also, I have days where I can't even remember to catch up on the latest anime on my "TO WATCH" list that I use a large portion of my memory to store it in, and then I get up set and wonder why the people of the world don't want me to watch my shows! Anyway this was just me complaining about how I had no time on my day off yesterday to accomplish anything on my anime agenda. That is it for this Day in the Life post thanks for reading my randomness!

Just because!

Its one of my favorite parts to the entire anime! Only because it took them so long!!!
Love that defies Time
+1 if you love this anime couple! and share with others :)

The Future Diary episode 6 Review

Like promised I have now delivered to you a review episode 6 of The Future Diary anime! Now I am unfortunately going to have to keep this review short until the next one.
Summary: Knowing from her diary that Yuki's mother is coming home from abroad, Yuno breaks into his house with the intention of introducing herself to his mother. Despite Yuki's efforts, his mother and Yuno meet and take a liking to each other. That night, Yuno reveals to Yuki that her diary predicts they will "become one" on July 28th, and tells him she will do anything to make sure that future comes to pass. The next day, Yuki's mother brings home Reisuke Houjou, a young boy whose parents were killed at the Sacred Eye incident. Despite his young age and precocious demeanor, Reisuke is a Future Diary owner, plotting Yuno's death.
Review: I'm going to just jump right into this review and start off by saying that this was a pretty boring episode. Not much can be said for this episode besides the fact that Yuki's mother has finally been introduced to us viewers, and I think that she looks a little young to have a child in high school. The new diary holder is young and mysterious to me at this point, so I guess that I will just have to wait until more is shown of his personality. I didn't like how this episode wasn't as dark as the other episodes have been save that one close encounter Yuno had with Reisuke the newly introduced diary holder, but they did add some more comedic moments like when Yuno found Yuki's secret nude mag stash, and when Yuki locked his mother out of his room. So in the end I guess this episode was meant to lighten the mood a little after all the previous events that occurred with the cult and Yuno's little secret that is hidden away in her closet, and it was boring but still an ok episode to watch because of the added comedy.
My Rating: 3.5 out of 5

The Future Diary episode 5 review

Hey everyone! I;m here with another Future Diary review! I know that I have been short with my posts, and I apologize but im still working on getting better with my post consistency :) Anyway hope you enjoy this review and check back frequently for the next! Also, I would appreciate comments on the reviews to hear what you all think and if you are looking for me to review any other good anime!
Summary: Yomotsu appears before the fleeing Yuki, Yuno and Tsubaki with four hypnotised cult members dressed like him. Yomotsu explains that his Righteous Diary led him to infiltrate the Sacred Eye cult and that he intends to blow himself and Tsubaki up. Having learned from Keigo that Yomotsu is blind, Yuno manages to tell him apart from the others and kill him. Tsubaki then captures Yuki and Yuno, revealing her plan was to kill them, Keigo and Yomotsu all along. Yuno manages to kill her captors, cut off Tsubaki's hand and hand Yuki her diary before collapsing from exhaustion. Using both diaries, Yuki manages to avoid detection, until Tsubaki tries to lure him out by announcing that her followers will rape and kill Yuno. Realising Yuno's devotion to him, Yuki gathers his courage and manages to reach her in time, but Tsubaki gloats that as long as he's in sight of her followers, her diary will predict his every action. Yuki throws a small ball he found earlier up in the air, causing all of Tsubaki's followers to look at it and rendering her diary useless. Yuki then throws a dart at Tsubaki's diary, and since she is missing a hand, she is unable to deflect the shot. With her diary pierced, Tsubaki vanishes and Yuki and Yuno escape. Meanwhile, Uryu is released by Yomotsu only to get captured by Keigo, who eventually lets her go in return for her contact information.
Review: For this episode Yuki, Yuno, and Keigo are still at the base for the mysterious cult, and both Yuki, and Yuno are making their way to the gate with Tsubaki the holder of " the Clairvoyance Diary" when the diary holder Yomatsu who captured Uryu (4th) arrives with some copy cats to confuse the fleeing diary holders. I enjoyed the complexity for this episode in that I was completely unsure as to which of the diary holders was controlling the cult followers, and making them attack one another, also I was enticed by Yomotsu's personality and how it was similar to that of kamen rider characters. Some may be shocked when one of the characters turns out not to be what they expected like I was, but Yuki does a great job handling the situation and gathering more experience with this death game the further along he ventures. I thought for sure that this episode would include Keigo (4th) more than it actually did because of the fact that it was a police case, but I guess that for this far into the show the want to focus on the growth of Yuki. While Yuki's growth is important I do still want to see more of a expansion on the back stories of the supporting characters similar to how they did with Tsubaki. I would also like to comment on the characters voice actors and how I think they really express the personality of the characters and it helps to keep the show full of emotion that can be translated across to the audience watching the show!
My Rating: 5 out of 5

The Future Diary episode 4

I am now on the fourth episode of this series and already it is tugging at my heart making me love it episode after episode. ***SPOILERS***
Summary: Yuki is unable to tell anyone about the corpses he saw in Yuno's house, fearing she will find out through her diary. The next day, Keigo, Yuki and Yuno visit the Sacred Eye cult, where Uryu is being held prisoner. The cult's leader, Tsubaki Kasugano, is the holder of the Clairvoyance Diary, a scroll which tells the future as seen by her followers and has foretold her death by the end of the day. Since Yuki has already evaded death twice, Tsubaki asks that he stay with her for the night in exchange for handing over Uryu, which he accepts, much to Yuno's resentment. At night, Tsubaki's followers fall under the mind control of Yomotsu Hirasaka, the diary holder who captured Uryu, and close in on Yuki, Yuno and Tsubaki. Yuno starts hacking at the followers with an axe and poses an ultimatum to Yuki: join her or die.
REVIEW: This episode of "The Future Diary" has for me completely brought me back to my first time watching  the dark themed anime "Deadman Wonderland" in the sense of its graphic scenes and twisted character personalities. Yuno has officially put a stamp on her forehead to let us know that she is CRAZY! Up until episode two I had thought to myself "hey, this cute anime schoolgirl just has a really BIG crush on this boy she could not possibly be insane" then while watching this episode I have learned that she truly is corrupted by her intense focus on Yuki. Now, for those that are squimish I urge you to prepare yourselves for quite the "gorey" skirmishes within this episode that make you wonder "why am I still watching this madness?!", but all is well because this episode is helping some characters personalities to bloom into something amazing that will make this anime even more of a sight to behold further in the story. For this episode I did enjoy how they introduced yet another diary holder plus the added bonus of expanding from the previously introduced characters in the show, also the increased sense of danger for the main character Yuki and his companions in my opinion helps to strengthen the plot of this dark anime. Im still waiting for there to be that really dramatic scene that makes the little otaku in all of us really want to come back for more of the action/drama. Overall this episode was fun to watch (while in the dark especially ^^).
My Rating: 5 out of 5

Day in the Life #1

Welcome! This is my First Day in the Life blog post and I hope that you will enjoy and relate to some of these. I am a High School sophomore and I have been into anime since I was in the first grade, and when I say "into" anime I mean that I LOVED anime, so while others watched spongebob and Jimmy neutron I was at my local library looking for some fun new anime like Inuyasha, Pokemon, Digimon, or Yugioh. Some of you might be able to relate that when you tell others that you are watching anime and they don't know what it is they kind of think that you are weird, or in the case of my friends and I "Weirdos", but to us we don't really care what they think because we know that we have other friends and people that we know that understand us and what we enjoy to read and watch, and for a select few of us draw. I did not always know how to draw like my friends (who are like the freakin' reincarnations of van gogh or Da Vinci) I had to practice very very hard in the last 4-5 years to get to where my ability of drawing is now. I would practice every day, and I would even draw during a lesson in class (which my science and social studies teacher did not like at all) not being able to do the work I was just that concentrated on my pictures and how they looked. My process is one that many beginners that I know have started off like, first I used tracing paper to learn how to draw things like hair and eyes, then I tried to practice using a ruler and guide lines, and after a good 3 years of that I was finaly able to grasp drawing just by looking at the picture in front of me. Im going to keep this one short because I dont want to put too much into every Day in the Life post I add to the blog but if you read this thanks for spending your time to do so and if you liked it follow both the blog and community page for more! Until the next time! :)

The Future Diary Episode 2&3 review

I have a two for one special for this posts review, I will go over my opinion for both episodes, and there will be some *SPOILERS*
Summary(ep.2): Minene Uryu, a terrorist and Future Diary owner, holds Yuki's school hostage, having rigged its corridors with motion sensor bombs. By combining Yuki's diary's ability to predict everything happening around him and Yuno's diary's ability to predict everything happening to Yuki himself, the two manage to evade danger, until Uryu threatens to detonate all the bombs unless Yuki is handed over to her. Yuki is captured by his classmates, angering Yuno who runs down the corridors, causing several classrooms to explode on purpose. Yuki and Uryu are soon confronted by Keigo Kurusu, a police officer with a Future Diary cell phone that is able to predict crimes. Keigo, Uryu's true target, reveals he is not interested in the survival game and just wants to stop criminals. Working together, Yuno, Keigo and Yuki's classmates distract Uryu, allowing Yuki to throw a dart at her Future Diary cell phone. However, Uryu dodges it, injuring her left eye and escaping using her diary's ability. In the aftermath, Keigo forms an alliance with Yuki and Yuno to stop the other diary owners.
Summary(ep.3): Keigo sends Yuki and Yuno to an amusement park to act as bait for Uryu. When Yuki asks Yuno why she keeps following him around, she reminds him of the day they met, one year earlier. Yuki was depressed over his parents' divorce and, to cheer him up, Yuno offered to marry him in the future. Yuki agreed, thinking it was a joke. Although Yuki realises Yuno's still hiding something from him, she refuses to divulge anything more. That night, Yuno invites Yuki to stop by her house. While searching for the bathroom, he opens the door to a room containing three decomposed corpses, an act which changes the future of every Future Diary owner drastically. Terrified, Yuki runs home, only to find Yuno right outside his door. Meanwhile, Uryu finds evading the police difficult, despite her diary's ability to secure escape routes. Exhausted and cornered, she is approached by a mysterious man, who offers to save her and takes her to a hut in the woods. There, he reveals himself as a Future Diary owner, drugging and torturing her to get information on other diary owners.

Review: For episode two I really enjoyed the introduction of the new characters numbers 9 and 4 and also how they revealed the identity of number 3 the serial killer from episode 1. I would say that the story is starting to slow down compared to my initial thoughts of it being a little fast so far as the story line goes I still think there is a little more room for the story to slowdown though. Also, I have instantly fallen in love with one of the most crazy characters that have been introduced....thats right! number 9 Minene Uryu has caught my eye (no pun intended) I always go for the craziest ones no matter what the anime is, but I was kind of lost when she escaped the crime scene on a bike???? I mean where did that come from? At the end of this episode I was not impressed whatsoever by the way number 4 Keigo Kurusu had approached the other two into forming an alliance it really should have had more a dramatic sense to it or maybe have been held off after they had met a few more times, but in the end I guess this episode was good for the most part. Episode three is where some of the real "fun" begins it starts off kind of boring with just Yuki alone with his thoughts, but when Yuno joins him and they head off to have fun at the amusement park thats when things begin to get a little steamy for the two characters ;) I couldn't help but to laugh when a topless Yuno falls into the arms of a very shy Yuki while they are in the pool. Now don;t get me wrong there is no comparing Yuno to a Orihime or Rangiku (bleach), but the way it was presented to us viewers (or at least to me) it seemed as if they wanted her to come off as a sexy girl with a HUGE hint of crazy! :) Moving on now I was not pleased with how easily Minene Uryu was tricked by another Future Diary holder (unknown identity) however It was a good way to introduce another insane character into the show. What I did not enjoy was the Deadman Wonderland eye removal scene within this episode just watching it happen made me wince in pain, and pushed the level of crazy that I have seen for the show past its limit also I won't ruin it for those who want to watch it themselves, but from what I can see Yuno has one scary and sick secret that maybe should not have been revealed to Yuki (for her sake). For both episodes I would say that this is definitely an anime fans of "Death Note" or "Deadman Wonderland" should take a look at, and also for those who maybe just like those dark themed anime just a little more than other genres. :)

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5

The Future Diary episode 1 Review

The Future Diary is an anime adapted from a manga with the same name by Sakae Esuno. This anime began airing in Japan on October 10, 2011 and has a total of 26 episodes. This is the 2nd anime review to be posted here on the blog so please enjoy.
*SPOILERS* Summary: Yukiteru "Yuki" Amano is a loner who spends most of his time on his phone writing in his diary, and talking with his "imaginary" friends Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space, along with his two servants space and murmur. One day Yuki receives from Deus a diary which he tells yuki will let hime see into the future and oddly mentions to Yuki about a game. When Yuki awakes he notices a new message on his cell from Deus, and opens it to discover diary entries from that day he quickly reassures himself that it he must have been sleep writing, but when the events written in the diary become true he believes that his diary is telling him the future. Deus confirms Yuki's suspicion of a diary that tells the future, and also adds that Yuki is now apart of the game and if his phone is destroyed he (Yuki) will die. Yuki starts offf using his future diary to cheat on tests and avoid bullies waiting for him after school, but after a test fellow student Yuno Gasai approaches and reveals that she too is a future diary holder. After a long chase, Yuno is able to catch up to Yuki in an elevator and explain why she has a diary, and what it can do. With Yuno's help/plan Yuki is able to throw a dart and destroy the diary of a serial killer atop a roof. Yuki along with Yuno go back to Yuki's home and meet with Deus in addition to 10 other future diary holders, where everyone learns the rules of the deathly game Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space has thrown them all into.
Review: My first impressions of this anime would be that it so far has moved very quickly within the first episode so far as story line goes, but the characters personalities did not progress with the rest of the story (so far). What i do like is the animation and English voice cast, both fit well for the anime and the characters, and I really enjoy the character design for some characters such as Deus Ex Machina who has a very other worldly appearance. Overall, after watching this first episode I do like the concept of the story, but I do wish it would have had more of a build up for the premiere episode.
My Rating: 3.5 out of 5

1st Day Over

Well it was only the first day so my expectations were low for views today but hopefully within the next week or so more and more people will find their way way to the blog and tell some of their friends. Well if you have viewed the blog and you would be interested in seeing more please encourage others to stop by!

Sword Art Online Season 1 review

My very first review for the site will be on a 2012 Summer favorite, Sword Art Online! For those who have not heard of SAO before or have heard of it, but have not seen it SAO is an anime based off of a light novel by the same name written by Reki Kawahara, and was adapted into an anime between July-December of 2012.
*SPOILER*Summary:The series was set in the near future where various virtual reality MMORPG's are very popular throughout the world. The main character Kirito along with 500 other people log in to the new MMORPG Sword Art Online (SAO) through the popular virtual reality helmet called Nerve Gear that uses a persons 5 senses via their brain, so players may control their characters inside of the game. All of the players that have logged into SAO for the first time soon realize that no one is able to log out of the game, and the games creator Kayaba Akihiko makes the announcement that if they would like to exit the game they all must reach the 100th floor of the games tower and beat the final boss, but he informs players of the games twist taht if they cannot reach the 100th floor and defeat the final boss, or their avatar is killed within the game they will suffer the same fate in reality. Kirito befriends the female character Asuna shortly after and together with the other imprisoned players of SAO they work toether to reach the final boss and obtain their freedom.
Review: I would like to start off by saying that this was a great series that both many of my friends and myself enjoyed, but it had its moments where i wasn't to sure if I would continue to watch. The first episode was in my opinion a great start to this anime I immediately fell in love with the animation quality and characters appearance I thought that both had been developed amazingly, and I was much approved of the Japanese voice cast for each of the characters I felt that they each captured the true essence of each individual character, but I did have some trouble after that first episode. Although, the first episode really brought me in to the world of SAO the early beginnings of the series had me along with others confused so far as the story line goes. I had not previously heard that the anime would progress through short time skips and so when I watched episode after episode I had the feeling that I was missing something within the story line, or that maybe I made a mistake and watched the wrong episode because the characters had changed after those time skips (some in appearance and some in their personality). Once I got over the whole time skip format I was able to follow along really well with the story line and everything made much more sense than it did from the beginning, and I enjoyed the pace at which the story line had progressed as we the viewers dived deeper and deeper into this great anime and its mystery as to why the players of SAO have been deemed this cruel fate of life and death within a game. This series overall is a great series which many have enjoyed and that I would highly recommend to any mystery/game.action anime lover to watch and share with others it is one anime that is somewhat unique in its format and style, but is enjoyed by a great many anime fans.
My Rating: 4 out of 5
